If we see comparison between “Digital and Film” that is huge. Films were more costlier before digital. Also with time spending it is noted that filmmakers around the world are moving toward digital. It is biggest change that seen in the film industry. Most of the expert’s opinion that the digital film-making is one of the major transformation in the world cinema.
CHANGE IN PRODUCTION COST
The Digital Film-making has brought huge change in movie budget. Previously who made movies they know the cost difference between Digital and Film, in today’s digital world we use SD card for recording but previously they use film reels for recording, which were costlier and increases the budget of movie. In digital film-making you record a shot but something is wrong in that, then you can delete it but in film you cannot delete it, due to that more money was wasted on film reels.
POST PRODUCTION BECOME EASY
The benefit of Digital film-making is not end at Production cost. Earlier all recorded material were sanded to the lab for editing which was very difficult process but today it become easier than previous time. Today almost each and every film is edited on computer and it is easier than old film editing, due to that digital film-making helps in saving post-production cost.
